BD's Turbo Thruster II turbo utilizes a custom-designed 360-degree thrust bearing and is mated to a heavy wall backplate to increase durability and reduce heat. Additionally, to improve centrifugal strength at high speed, BD uses a 66 mm Ballistic Billet compressor wheel. To prevent boost creep, BD's exclusive Heavy Duty Waste Gate controls maximum boost pressure while the 0.84 A/R turbine housing reduces exhaust temperatures and smoke levels on acceleration without surging. This unit outperforms the stock turbocharger, improves fuel economy, and is a great fit for all off-road, street, and highway 7.3L Power Stroke applications. Plus, it is C.A.R.B. compliant! BD uses their own version of thrust collar and back plate as well their own designed sintered brass 360-degree 6-pad thrust bearing that reduces heat build-up and increases durability. Using a proven Ballistic Billet 65.9 mm compressor wheel improves centrifugal strength at high rotating speeds and boost pressures. BD's exclusive Heavy Duty Waste Gate controls maximum boost pressure and 0.84 A/R turbine housing reduces exhaust temperatures and smoke levels on acceleration without surging.
